The Great Work Unveiled

Dear Seeker,

Let me first apologize to you on the absence of any new contents on this blog as of lately. The focus of the Faternity has been on the necessary Inner Work, which after all is and has always been the main priority of the Hermetic Order of the Nascent Aurora since it inception. Writing articles to the Outer World is,  important as this may bee to guide genuine seekers to the portal of the Temple, of a secondary nature.

Although not necessary clearly obvious, minor adjustments and corrections have regularly been made to all of the pages on this site to enhance the representation of our official web page. Our ambition, as set by the last blog post (in Swedish), still remains – to present reedited and corrected versions of old blogs originally posted by Frater S∴R∴ on his blog Gyllene Gryningen.

As the official archivist of the H∴O∴N∴A∴ web site it is my task to oversee this work of migration, transcription, editing, correcting and further expansion of his texts. As this is an quite arduous task for me to put into fruition, not least to choose the relevant texts and to sieve them from a large body of work, this will have to take its necessary time. Please bear with me on this.

Today I can present you with a text of such a magnitude that, hopefully, it has been worth all of the waiting. It is probably the most important texts of them all to be found in a scattered form at Gyllene Gryningen. And perhaps it is the most controversial as well. At least at the time of its initial presentation (2008-2010). Perhaps today, the serious reader will be somewhat more prepared and have matured enough to be able to better assimilate its contents. The time is ripe for it to see the light of day again in a the new format that it deserves.

The topic is of the true nature of The Royal Art, of the Great Work. The goal with its contents is to be of some help to the prospecting student to guide him or herself in that maze which is Alchemy. It mainly consists of the words of a True Hermetic Initiate, of an actual Master practitioner of Alchemy. His words are prompted by the then debate which raged when its truths were first revealed in the Golden Dawn and Hermetic communities and serves to be an apologetic piece of work. Parts are in the format of a conversation between himself and some inquirers, which includes Frater S∴R∴. The latter has also given some relevant commentaries with wich to guide the reader through the words of the Master and to clear up any confusions. The manuscript starts off with these words:

One good outcome about heated debates in the Golden Dawn community is that it sometimes draws out the true Hermetic Masters from their hideouts in an attempt to set the record straight. Not that any words of wisdom from a Master will change the hearts of the majority. Let us not be that naïve. What one can hope for is that some few and earnest students of the Royal Art will benefit from the following words as contained in this manuscript – if their minds and hearts be sufficiently open and void of preconceptions.
